When Music Brings the Mountains to Life
There are summer moments in Lech that stay with you forever. One of them is undoubtedly the Lech Classic Festival, returning from 2–9 August 2026 to welcome internationally acclaimed musicians, renowned soloists and music lovers to the spectacular Lechwelten concert hall. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the Arlberg mountains, classical music, contemporary architecture and the unique atmosphere of an Alpine summer come together to create an unforgettable cultural experience.
World-Class Classical Music in the Alps
The Lech Classic Festival has become one of the cultural highlights of the Alpine summer. Over seven inspiring concert days, guests can enjoy an outstanding programme featuring internationally celebrated vocalists, exceptional instrumental soloists and the Lech Festival Orchestra, whose members are among the finest young musicians from leading Central European orchestras.
The 2026 edition shines a spotlight on two masterpieces by Gioachino Rossini: the world-famous opera The Barber of Seville and the deeply moving sacred work Stabat Mater. The programme also includes a festive opening gala, concerts celebrating the elegance of the Viennese Classical period with works by Joseph Haydn, and a magnificent closing concert featuring music by Mozart, Hummel and Beethoven.
Lechwelten – A Unique Concert Venue
Since 2024, the festival has been held at Lechwelten, an architectural landmark renowned for its exceptional acoustics, contemporary design and intimate concert atmosphere. Expansive panoramic windows frame the surrounding mountain scenery, creating an extraordinary setting where music and nature blend in perfect harmony.
Alpine Summer Meets Cultural Excellence
A visit to the Lech Classic Festival is the perfect addition to a summer holiday in Lech. During the day, guests can explore blooming alpine meadows, crystal-clear mountain lakes and an extensive network of scenic hiking trails. In the evening, world-class classical performances await—an inspiring combination that has made Lech one of the Alps' most exclusive summer destinations.
Whether enjoying a leisurely stroll through the picturesque village, an elegant dinner on a sunny terrace or an unforgettable concert in the Lechwelten, visitors experience the perfect balance of nature, gastronomy and culture.
A Festival for Connoisseurs
The Lech Classic Festival is far more than a celebration of classical music. It attracts cultural travellers, architecture enthusiasts and discerning guests seeking exceptional experiences in an extraordinary setting.
