Our Aurora:
Feel at home
in Lech am Arlberg.
What makes the Hotel Aurora so special to us is its unmistakable warmth and hospitality. Over 60 years ago, the Aurora was a small guesthouse with eight rooms and a shared shower on each floor. My grandparents, Lotte and Sepp Fischer, named it after the goddess of dawn – perhaps because they were early risers, perhaps because they looked forward to welcoming their guests. My mum, Diana Muxel, has transformed the former guesthouse into a 4-star hotel in Lech am Arlberg. But one thing has remained the same and is now more important than ever: the joy of hospitality. Now it’s up to David and me to lead the Aurora into the future and preserve the soul of the hotel. It should continue to be a place where guests can ‘feel at home’.

Our promise:
mountains for the soul.
Mountains for the soul – that’s our promise. An invitation to visit our hotel in Lech am Arlberg and feel what makes us special. We’re the third generation to live out our passion for hospitality here at the Aurora. A hotel that has grown since 1959 and is more than just a place to stay for many of our regular guests and a place of work for our long-standing team members. Our Aurora is a place where vibrant stories are written and shared memories grow. Every corner tells of our loving attention to detail, of tradition combined with the joy of discovering new things.

The team at our accommodation at Mount Arlberg
What makes our hotel special is not just the rooms, mountains, and atmosphere – but above all the people behind it. A close-knit, cheerful team that has been working at the Aurora for many years – some even the third generation to do so. From kitchen to service and the friendly souls in housekeeping: they all take care of our guests and the hotel as if it were their own. Together, everyone ensures that your holiday feels straightforward, warm, and genuine.
